This week the International Week for the Field of Business and Services (IWBAS) took place at TAMK. Since I participated in several workshops as well as evening activities, we didn’t have much time for a meeting this week. Thus, we decided to meet for a quick coffee at Kauppahalli, the indoor market hall of Tampere.
We talked about Reetta’s upcoming trip to Amsterdam with her team members from Proakatemia where she will collect data and conduct interviews for an Event Tourism class. Moreover, they plan on visiting the Dutch equivalent of Proakatemia and of course they’ll also do some sightseeing.
Since Reetta is the first student I met to follow such a self-teaching study program, I am always interested in learning more about the idea of Proakatemia.
Towards the end, Reetta also helped me with a small assignment for my Finnish class where I had to describe what I was wearing at that moment. Thanks to her help I learned some new clothing vocabulary:
- pipo – wollen cap
- takki – jacket
- käsineet – gloves
- farkut – jeans
- kengät – boots
- huivi – scarf
