Our first meeting with the each one teach one group was on September 24. Together we went grocerie shopping and then went to a park. We met at the Lidl in the city centre in Tampere and walked through the store. In this session we focused on Dutch and Finnish. Because our group is quite big we want to focus on 2 languages per meeting. We translated the name of different foods and drinks that we saw in the store and talked about some typical food or items from our country. In the Netherlands they have for example „stroopwafels“ and in Finland „Karjalanpaisti“. After a while we bought some snacks and went to the Sorsipuisto park nearby. The weather was quite good, so we sat down next to a small lake and continued talking.
It was really nice to get to know everyone better and to learn more about different typical foods in different nationalities. We all got well along and i was excited for the next meetings!
