MEETING 4- Spanish food

This meeting was dedicated to Spanish food.
In this case I taught my partner how to make a potato omelette, a very typical and popular food in Spain. In addition, I also gave her a taste of Iberian ham, another of the most popular foods in my country.
We not only cooked but also talked about the most typical Spanish dishes.
In this case I taught more than I learned since we dedicated the day to my country.

I have realised how complicated it is to try to teach another person about the food of your country as much of it may not exist in the other person’s country so it is impossible to explain what it is based on or what it tastes like. However, thanks to this meeting I have learned how to explain certain aspects in a clearer way, a key resource has been to look for pictures on the internet of the different dishes I was explaining to them.

This time it was different from others as in this case my main role was to teach so that my partner was able not only to learn different typical Spanish dishes but also their pronunciation in Spanish.

The only thing we should have taken into account is to have written down the different words on a piece of paper because it would have been much easier.Anyway, it was a very fun and interesting meeting, I was very happy to be able to show her the food of my country and she was very happy to be able to learn it.

We also stuck pretty much to the initial plan as we said we wanted to learn about cooking and we dedicated that day to Spanish cuisine.
