At this meeting, we made and tasted Finnish food.
I learnt not only how to bake delicious buns, but also their names and cooking vocabulary such as egg, oil, flour, etc. Now I am able to go to the supermarket and recognise the food we were talking about by name.
This experience was different from the others because in this case I had almost all the time the role of student since my partner is the one who was teaching me the cuisine of her country. We were also cooking, so it is also different from any other learning experience I have had.
I really think we accomplished the objective since she got to teach me and I got to learn about her country’s food. So we also stuck to our initial plan because one of the things we emphasised was the food and we fulfilled it.
