For our next EOTO meeting we had a fun evening and sang a karaoke song together. We all went to the Symposium party in the IHKU bar. The Symposium party is a monthly international student party organized from ESN. We talked about it in another EOTO session that we are all attending this event and came to the idea that it would be fun to meet up and perform a karaoke song together. We picked a song that everyone of us knows, “I don’t care” from Charlie XCX. Since i am from Germany, where karaoke is very uncommon, it was very new to me. Etty told us that it is more common in the Netherlands, but not really in a traditional way. For Valeria singing karaoke was familiar, singing and music are deeply embedded in the mexican culture.
By performing karaoke together we wanted to see where our musical tastes are overlapping. I had really much fun, it was a really bonding moment in our group that i will not forget!
