5.12 - Christmas market

Christmas market

At first, our last meeting was going to be ice skating together, but as the lake was not frozen yet, we decided to change the plan and go to visit the Christmas market. It was a really good decision as it was our last meeting and this allowed us to talk in a more relaxed way.

We decided that for this meeting we would do a review of everything we had learnt and we would remember together everything we had done in the previous meetings. It was really fun but at the same time a bit sad as we were aware that it would be one of the last times we were going to see each other.

We were walking around the market and even saying a few words in each other’s language. It was really fun.

Realising that we weren’t really paying attention to the learning, we decided to sit in a coffee shop for a while and have a big review of everything we had learned.

We came to the conclusion that it would have been very positive to have defined before each meeting what we were going to talk about and it is something I would recommend to a person who is going to start this course.

We were fortunate that the conversation between us was fluid and that we both had similar goals, but we think it would have been more effective to have known specific topics to talk about.

To finish with my last blog I want to make a small reflection and I really think that I have learned much more than I thought thanks to the dynamics of the course. I also feel it is important to find a person who has similar goals as you and who is willing to make different and interesting plans.

In my case, I have really enjoyed the experience and I have learned about a language and a culture that I never thought about, for which I am really grateful.Market
