Tampereen yliopisto järjestää tohtoripromootion 12.-14. elokuuta 2022. Kaikkien tiedekuntien yhteiseen tapahtumaan voivat ilmoittautua promovoitaviksi sekä uudesta Tampereen yliopistosta valmistuneet tohtorit, joiden tohtorintutkinto on hyväksytty maaliskuun 2022 loppuun mennessä, että aiemmista yliopistoista (Tampereen teknillinen yliopisto TTY ja aiempi Tampereen yliopisto TaY) valmistuneet tohtorit, joita ei ole aiemmin promovoitu. Promovoitavat (ja seuralaiset) ilmoittautuvat tapahtumaan täyttämällä sähköisen lomakkeen 15.3.2022 mennessä.
Yliopiston tiedekunnat valitsevat kunniatohtorit, jotka vihitään promootiossa. (Tiedekunta voi antaa kunniatohtorin arvon ja siihen liittyvät arvomerkit henkilölle, joka tieteellisellä tai taiteellisella toiminnallaan tai tieteiden, taiteiden taikka muun kulttuuritoiminnan edistämisessä saavuttamiensa ansioiden perusteella katsotaan tällaisen kunnianosoituksen arvoiseksi.) Tiedekunnan kunniatohtorit tarvitsevat isännät ja emännät. Niistä käytiin lyhyt keskustelu.
Jyrki Vuorinen osallistuu Pirkanmaan ALKE -keskustelutilaisuuteen 11.2.2022, (Pirkanmaan aluekehitys ALKE).
Nuorten Tiedeakatemian jäsenyyttä voi tänä vuonna ensimmäistä kertaa hakea – aiemmin jäseneksi on voinut päästä vain kutsumenettelyn kautta. Tiedeakatemia tarjoaa eri yliopistoissa työskenteleville nuorille tutkijoille mahdollisuuden monitieteiseen verkostoitumiseen uran alkuvaiheissa. Nuorten Tiedeakatemia on Emil Aaltosen Säätiön lahjoituksen turvin 2017 perustettu yleinen, kaikki tieteenalat kattava nuorten tutkijoiden (5 vuoden sisään väitellyt ja alle 40-vuotias) tiedeakatemia ja sitä hallinnoi isäntäorganisaationa Suomalainen Tiedeakatemia. Tampereen yliopiston TES Nuori tutkija 2022 -ehdokkaiden valintakokous tulee olemaan viikolla 8, tiedekunnan omien ehdokkaiden käsittely on joryssa 14.2.2022.
Tiina Toikka toi johtoryhmään keskusteltavaksi työsuunnitelmaohjeistuksen ja tiedekunnan työsuunnitteluun liittyvän tiedottamisen ITC:ssä. Työsuunnitelmista tulee kaikille sähköpostia ja työsuunnitelmat ovat myös aiheena 24.2. dekaanin zoom-kahveilla. Yliopistolla on yhteiset ohjeistukset. Ohjeet on valmisteltu yliopistotason työryhmässä, johon on osallistunut henkilöstöä eri tehtäväryhmistä ja eri puolilta organisaatiota. Mahdollisesti yksiköissä ja/tai tutkinto-ohjelmissa tulee olemaan myös keskusteluja työsuunnitelmista.
Ari Laitinen pitää mielenkiintoisen katsauksen vuoden 2022 perusrahoituksen jakautuminen Tampereen yliopistossa.

– Tutkimusvararehtori Tapio Visakorpi vierailee ITC:n johtoryhmässä ystävänpäivänä 14. helmikuuta, mukana vararehtorin tiedekuntakierroksella ovat myös Pauli Kuosmanen, Tuukka Pöyry, Sonja Kokkonen, Anu Juslin, Harri Länsipuro ja Pasi Vakaslahti.
– Maanantaina 14. päivä pääsemme myös uusien dosenttiohjeiden ja -asioiden äärelle.
Myös toimintakertomus tulossa joryyn.
– ITC kampuskehitystyöryhmä tulee vieraaksi joryyn 14.3.2022.

The new Tampere University will hold its first Ceremonial Conferment of Doctoral Degrees on 12-14 August 2022. All persons who have graduated with a doctoral degree from Tampere University before the end of March 2022, or who have graduated with a doctoral degree from the former Tampere University of Technology (TUT) or University of Tampere (UTA) and have not previously attended a conferment ceremony, are invited to all faculties’ joint conferment ceremony.

Registration for the conferment ceremony takes place by filling out the registration form, preferably by 15 March 2022. You can bring one accompanying person (avec) to the ceremony.
The Faculty can grant the title of honorary doctor and the related insignia to a person who is considered to be deserving of such an acknowledgement based on their scientific or cultural achievements or on their merits in promoting science, arts or culture. So our faculty honorary doctors need hosts. They were briefly discussed.
Jyrki Vuorinen will participate in the Pirkanmaa ALKE discussion event on 11 February 2022, (Pirkanmaa Regional Development ALKE).
Young scholar: apply for membership in Young Academy Finland, DL 28.2.2022. Young Academy Finland is an academy established in 2017, representing the highest level of young scholars in Finland. It offers young researchers from different universities the opportunity for interdisciplinary networking in the early stages of their careers. So far all the members have been invited to join the community, but this year we give the possibility to also apply for a membership. Applicants must be Finnish or residing in Finland, and they must be able to demonstrate a high level of excellence in their discipline. Tiina Toikka brought the work plan guidelines and information related to the faculty’s work planning at the ITC for the academic year 2022-23 to the management team for discussion. Work plans will be emailed to everyone and work plans will also be the subject of 24.2. with dean’s zoom handles. The university has common guidelines. The guidelines have been prepared in a university-level working group with the participation of staff from different task forces and across the organization.
Ari Laitinen gives an interesting overview of the distribution of basic funding for 2022 at the University of Tampere.
Kirsi Aalto also has a few things to note:
– Research Vice Rector Tapio Visakorpi will visit the ITC Management Group on Valentine’s Day on February 14, Pauli Kuosmanen, Tuukka Pöyry, Sonja Kokkonen, Anu Juslin, Harri Länsipuro and Pasi Vakaslahti will also be on the Vice Rector’s faculty tour.
– On Monday, the 14th, we will also get to the new docents (title of docent) instructions and issues.
– The ITC Campus Development Working Group will be visiting Jory on March 14, 2022.
