The sixth Each One Teach One meeting took place on the 7th of November in the Oasis room of the Central Campus of TU. This location provided an interactive and playful environment, which supported learning through games and informal activities. The relaxed atmosphere encouraged active participation and creativity.
The main focus of this meeting was learning colors and practicing how to ask and answer simple questions. To support this, we played different games related to the topic, which allowed us to apply vocabulary in a practical and engaging way. I practiced these concepts in Spanish, while the Spanish participants practiced the same topics in Persian.
Using games as a learning method helped reinforce memory and improved spontaneous language use. Associating colors with objects in the room and forming questions during gameplay made the learning process more dynamic and enjoyable. This approach also reduced pressure and allowed mistakes to become part of the learning experience.
At times, forming questions correctly required extra attention, especially when switching between languages. English was occasionally used to clarify sentence structure and meaning. Despite these challenges, the interactive setting helped maintain motivation and encouraged continuous communication.
In reflection, this meeting demonstrated how playful learning environments can be highly effective in language exchange. Learning through games strengthened vocabulary, improved confidence in asking questions, and showed that language learning can be both educational and enjoyable when combined with interactive activities.
