For our seventh Spanish-learning meeting, we tried something new and exciting β a movie night at a club event! We watched a horror movie, and wowβ¦ it was both scary and thrilling, especially the ending π±. Between jumps and laughs, it was really engaging, and I found myself glued to the screen.
While preparing snacks and handling all the other little things, we also practiced Spanish with the vocabulary and phrases weβve learned so far. From talking about the food to chatting about the movie, it felt like a fun, real-life way to use Spanish outside of a classroom setting πΏπ¬.
Reflecting on the meeting, I realized that combining entertainment with learning makes the language stick better. I could recognize more phrases during the movie than I expected, which boosted my listening confidence. Plus, practicing Spanish while multitasking β cooking, setting up, and talking β was surprisingly effective!
Overall, Meeting 7 was a mix of fun, scares, and learning, and it reminded me that Spanish can be practiced anywhere β even during a horror movie night! π₯β¨πͺπΈ
