4^th lesson: Ice-skating

Our fourth meeting was my first ice-skating experience in my life. For this lesson we walked to the Pyynikin urheilukenttä ice-stadium near the Aleksanterin kirkko. Ice-skating is really popular in the Netherlands and the most of the people learn how to ice-skate in their childhood. It´s also the only sport were the Netherlands are successful at the Winter Olympic Games. In Germany we have also the cross-country skiing which is really popular especially in the south of Germany near the mountains where we have snow in the wintertime.

For my first lesson in ice-skating we started with a chair like the small kids. The first steps on my skates on the ice were not easy. But after a while it worked better and better and at least I only fall on my ass once. At the End I also did it without the chair and had a lot of fun skating outside at the fresh air. I was also lucky to have such a good teacher for this activity 😉
