Bavarian night

Now,  I have finally chance to know the cultural stuff about Bavarian style.  Last Thursday,  our group went to the Bavarian evening in TAMK catering studio. It was an event created by hospitality student.  my friends from German ( Franzi and Saskia) insist me to go. And we eventually decided to have the meeting at there.

I am a food hunter, so I am more curious about the food and beverages selection.  I ordered 2 items which are “Radler” and “schnitzel” with potato salad. I was told that these two are the typical Bavarian food.

The Radler is actually beer mixed with lemonade in German. And from my understanding,  It is quite similar to a drink that I used to have in my country which is called “Shandy”. The difference is “Radler” is fresh mix and it can be adjusted the ratio of beer and lemonade. It was really new to me.

Secondly, the main dish,”schnitzel”, is quite different to what I think. Original schnitzel is used a big and flat size of veal or pork. That day I ate, food preparer altered the size into “chicken tender” size. It was delicious absolutely.
