Eighth Meeting - Culinar Discovery

Our eighth meeting took place at Tamk’s cafeteria since we planned it pretty spontaneously and were both at TAMK.
Anyways, this time we showed each other some specialities from our contries, France and Argentina.

Emilce had to create a website for one of her IB courses, and she created one about Argentinian food. That’s how we started with that topic. She showed me the website and we went through all the content. Some of the stuff were very appealing, such as Dulce de Leche which I already knew from Costa Rica. If translated to english it means “Sweet from Milk”. It could be called Milk marmelade. It’s soooooo gooood! I started to get munchies from the pictures.1235247351434_f

Another thing we talked about is a bevarage which is very common in Argentina:
Coca & Fernet. It’s Coke and Fernet alcohol mixed together. No Pepsi, but Coke! No Coke Light, but Coke!

So then it was my turn to introduce a French traditional bevarage, rather for women.
It’s beer, lemonade and pomegranate sirop.
The sirop can actually be whatever like raspberry (on the picture), peach, etc. But the official one is with pomegranate sirop. This is what pretty much every girl/woman drinks on a terrasse during Spring and Summer time!
