Hello,
For this second meeting of the week, we continue to learn some vocabulary.
After the basic sentences and words of German and Finnish we learn family and numbers.
Numbers between 0 and 10: (French – German – Finnish)
- 0 = Zéro (Fr) = Nuii (Ge) = Nolla (Fi)
- 1 = Un = Eins = Yksi
- 2 = Deux = Zwei = Kaksi
- 3 = Trois = Drei = Kolme
- 4 = Quatre = Vier = Neljä
- 5 = Cinq = Fünf = Viisi
- 6 = Six = Sechs = Kuusi
- 7 = Sept = Sieben = Seitsemän
- 8 = Huit = Acht = Kahdeksan
- 9 = Neuf = Neun = Yhdeksän
- 10 = Dix = Zehn = Kymmenen
Familly (Fr – Ge – Fi)
- Mère = Mutter = Äiti
- Père = Vater = Isä
- Soeur = Schweister = Sisko
- Frère = Bruder = Veli
- Tante = Tante = Täti
- Oncle = Onkel= Setä
- Cousin(e) = Vetter = Serkku
- Grand mère = Großmutter
- Grand père = Großvater
I think that after these 2 meetings, we have learned lot of vocabulary.
I discovered this new letter: “ß”, a particular one from German language which looks like a “b” for French people but the way to pronounce it is really different.
For the next one, we will probably talk about food culture. It’s for French people, a very good way to talk about our culture because food is most of the time associated to France, “the country of gastronomy”. Nevertheless, I don’t really know how we are going to do because French cheese for example is really scarce here and when we can find it it’s very expensive.
I expect also that we’ll meet in a different place than TOAS City, a coziest and warmer one like a café in the city center where we don’t have the feeling to be in class but just to spend good time together.
Camille
