It was our 6. appointment and our second cooking evening. Last time Javier cooked „Tortilla“. He did that quite well and so Tanja and I hoped to do that well, too. We chose a typical bavarian recipe. We wanted to prepare dumplings with a creamy mushroom sauce.
For this dish you don’t really need that much ingredients. Just bread, it’s important to take hard bread, not fresh bread, eggs, milk, onions, butter and parsley.
Here you have to cook the onions until they done. Then you have to mix all the things together to have a soft dough. You have to form some balls and boil them afterwards. That’s it. The dumplings are ready.
To have a more delicous dish, you serve these dumplings with a tasty sauce.
For the sauce, the ingridients are mushrooms, onions, cream and some spices.
First you have to slice all these ingridients. Then frie the onions and add step by step the other ingridients.
After an hour the dish was ready and we enjoyed a nice dinner.
We also listened to some bavarian music. This music is a kind of different music.
I think you have to get used of it to like it. But it fit into our context and served to have an typical atmosphere of a bavarian restaurant.
„Semmelknödel und Schwammerlsoße“ that’s the german translation. Hard to pronounce, but easy to prepare.
Finally, we made a list of the ingridients and translate it into french and spain.
