German school system

In my last teaching unit I tach Monica the school system of Germany and my way how I come to the university. I was also in the kindergarten from the age of 3 to the age of 6 years. We have the same possibility to have a small part of school inside our kindergarten and my parents chose this for me. After I was six years I started to go to primary school. Different to Spain we go only four years to primary school and not six. After the primary school we have three different ways that our parents and of course we with our marks can choose. The lowest level and without any mark barrier is the “Hauptschule” the students finish after five years, then the “Realschule” the students finish after six years and on top the “Gymnasium” there is included the high school the students graduate after eight or nine years. This three are secondary schools with different levels of education. It is not a problem to change from the higher to the lower level or the other way around if you have the right marks to pass the barrier. I started on the “Hauptschule” but after 3 years I changed to the “Realschule”. I finished this type of school and started my apprenticeship. I am a technical drafts man for building services. In my professionals school we had the opportunity to get the high school degree and I did this. After my Apprenticeship I start to study in my sector. After the bachelor there is like in the rest of the world the possibility to make the master and the Doctor/ PHD. The compulsory education in Germany is ten years from the sixed to the sixteens year. The education in Germany is like in Spain for free. The marks are from 1 to 6 and later in the university from 1 to 5.
