Korean language and Finnish tung twister

We had a 4th meeting in Finlayson, at a cafe.

Originally we have pretty lots of members, But on this meeting we were just four.

And We talk about korean culture and language.

In korea, we don’t use ‘English alphabet’ but our own Letter named ‘Hangul’

So It’s quite hard even to just read the letters.

Then I just told about their basic structure and system of letter

and show how to write their name in Korean.

like, 파올라, 옌니, 벨라…

After that we learned about the number in korean.

1=ill

2=e

3=sam

4=sa

5=oh

6=yuk

7-chill

8=pal

9=gu

10=sip

It is much easier than others, so others can try to memorize it!

I felt so weird with foreigners talking in Korean. It was funny 🙂

And I also learned about ‘kuusi palaa’ in Finnish.

< Kuusi palaa > can have 5 meanings.

1. Tree is on fire

2.6 of them are on fire

3. six is on fire

4. Your moon is on fire

5. six pieces

With this we can learn how to Finnish people associate the words!
