This time we learned a spanish card game!
Javier wanted to teach „Brisca“, a game he played a lot when he was a child.
Therefore we met in a cafe in the center.
At first we were a little bit confused, because we recognized, that the spanish playing cards are another than the german ones, also the order is another.
That made the learning more difficult.
In Bavaria we play a lot of diffrent card games. That’s why we got used to the german order and the german cards.
The spanish playing cards have the numbers from two to seven; the eight, the nine and the ten is missing.
Different to the german cards, the ace is the smallest. It should replace the number 1.
Also there is no queen. The queen is replaced by the spanish horseman.
In addition there are other colours.
Fortunately we only had german playing cards. So there was no need to adapt to other playing cards. Otherwise I think we could have been more confused.
The rules are:
In the beginning everybody has to take three cards. The deck with the rest of the cards is in the middle.
One by one has to through a card. You have to pay attention what card is the best to throw because the aim is to collect as many points as possible.
To reach that goal, you have to throw a better /higher card than the one next to you has thrown before.
If your card was the best, all the thrown cards are yours and you can count their values after finishing the game. These card draws repeat several times.
We had some rounds of these game, we got addicted to it J
One card game more, we can play with friends in Germany. I’m really looking forward to show it some of my friends.
