Spanish omelette

This meeting we made a typical Spanish dish: Spanish omelette, or in Spanish: Tortilla de patatas. It wasn’t really hard to make the omelette, the only difficult part was to flip it in the small pan. A Spanish omelette consists of eggs, potatoes, onions, oil and herbs.

While we were preparing the omelette, we wrote the ingredients down on a chalkboard in English, Dutch and Spanish. After learning these words, they also explained us that in a Spanish sentence, they use 2 punctuation marks. For example: 1 exclamation mark in the beginning of the sentence and 1 in the end.

Arne and me baked some pancakes for dessert. We wanted to bake waffles, but we couldn’t do it without a waffle machine. So we went for pancakes.

After our meal we chatted some more about food in our culture. For example the typical Belgian fries.

I had a great evening and I’m looking forward to the 3rd meeting!
