I went to SportUni after class with my friend Jana, who lives next to me and is from Germany.
We started our workout with running on the treadmill for about half an hour.

And then we used different machines like the smith machine, leg press, inner thigh trainer, etc..
After exercising, we went to the cafeteria for lunch.

While eating, we talked a lot about food, culture and our home universities.
I found it interesting that German students usually cook at home much more often than Finnish or Korean students. Jana was also curious about Korean university life and how students often eat out together, especially late at night. We compared out daily routines, and it made me realize how different student habits can be depending on the country.
It was just a simple workout day, but it felt more meaningful because we shared small cultural differences while doing something healty together. I realized that even the most ordinary moments like going to the gym or eating lunch can become a part of cultural learning when you’re studying abroad.
