I had a wonderful time meeting with friends one last time before the fall holidays, and what better occasion than EMESE’s birthday! This gathering was spontaneous, organized at the last minute. Although the weather wasn’t great, we decided to eat at a restaurant. We chose Natsu, a Japanese restaurant in the market hall, which allowed us to experience a new culture . Melina asked us to discuss the differences with Korean culture. So I explained that while the ‘simple’ characters were similar, the more complex ones differed between the two languages.
I and Minju ordered Tonkatsu, while I had a Lohi Poke Bowl. Emese only had a drink since she wasn’t hungry. Japanese food is completely different from Korean cuisine—much fresher, while most French dishes are served hot, leading to very different flavors. However, I wouldn’t say they’re lighter, as rice is quite filling, so you definitely don’t leave the table hungry!
During our gathering, we mainly discussed our holiday plans. I am planning to go to Paris! So I told melina about my plan, and she liked it like her job and recommended many places.
