A few weeks ago Jasmin and I saw a poster of the new “Now you see me, now Jou don’t” movie. Since we both love the first two movies, we decided to go watch it and berk joined us. We entered the Cinema and were talking in English. As we approached the cashier to buy the tickets she asked us: “tickets to now you see me?”. Apparently this was the only movie in English that they were showing. Interesting, because Germany, Türkiye and Switzerland quite a bunch of movies are shown in English. Luckily, I bought my Coke before the movie started, as there was no break. According to Jasmin this is normal. But both Berk and I were surprised by this. We are used to a break in the middle. The ultimate trick is to go buy popcorn then, as most of the people remain seated or go to use the restroom. Additionally, it is nice and cozy warm in our cinemas, but this one was rather on the cold-ish side. In the snack-shop one could also buy “opened” sweets, so ones that were not pre-packed. This is something I noticed here: In close to every store you have the possibility to buy sweets that are not pre-packed by the selling company. Berk bought sweet popcorn – something that is unusual for both Berk and me, but again Jasmin is used to it since a lot of cinemas sell this too. The only sweet popcorn one usually can buy in Switzerland is chocolate popcorn.
The movie itself was quite enjoyable I think. Some magic tricks were used in the movies before, but I didn’t mind. I thought it was funny, but some things were predictable.
