Night walk in the snow

On the evening of December 14th, we decided to go for a walk in the snow. It had been snowing throughout the day, and by the time we went outside, the streets were covered with a thick layer of snow. The city was unusually quiet, and there were only a few people around

We walked through the streets at a slow pace, enjoying the calm atmosphere and the winter air. The sound of our steps in the snow was almost the only thing we could hear. Streetlights reflected on the white surface, and the snowfall made the surroundings feel very still. During the walk, we talked about how we usually spend winter in our home countries. Christoph mentioned skiing in the Alps, while I said that I do snowboarding.

While walking, language learning happened naturally. I practiced several German words connected to the situation, such as Schnee (snow), Nacht (night), and Spaziergang (walk).  The walk itself was simple, but it was a nice way to slow down, share thoughts, and combine language learning with an everyday winter experience.bridge
