Today we went out for coffee again, this time to Green Hippos. The coffee there was really good, just the thing for a relaxed start to the day. And as luck would have it, we bumped into Alessa there. So we sat down with her and continued chatting.
The conversation quickly drifted towards German culture. We talked about all sorts of things: swimming and even skinny dipping, how bad public transport in Germany can be, but at least it’s cheaper than here.
In between, I also learned something new: how to say hippopotamus in Dutch, nijlpaard. Little language lessons in cafés somehow have their own charm.
All in all, it was a cosy day with good coffee, chance encounters and fun topics of conversation – just the way I like my days.
