Etty and I met on Friday evening at the Rauhaniemi Folk Spa. It was my first time there, but Etty had been there several times before. The sauna is located right by the lake and has a relaxed, open atmosphere.
We talked about the past few days and took our time to really unwind. Altogether, we did five sauna sessions, always cooling off briefly in the lake in between. The water was already quite cold, but not yet frozen. Jumping into the water after the heat was refreshing every single time.
In the sauna, we also met some of Etty’s friends and chatted with them.
This time, we didn’t learn more about each other’s cultures, but rather about the Finnish one.
It was a really lovely evening 🙂
