Seventh meeting at Lapinkaari (18th November)

-

We had our seventh Each One Teach One meeting on 18 th November at Lapinkaari, where we planned a small afternoon snack together. It was a very friendly and cozy atmosphere and I felt as though people who are friends were spending some quality time together but also learning.

The meeting began by us discussing our future travels with Erasmus friends. People had to tell where they wanted to go, and what they were most eager about. It was pleasant to listen to varying traveling experiences and plans and we learned some vocabulary related to it using English, Spanish, and Persian.

Then, we worked on vocabulary pertaining to the kitchen, which was the most appropriate in the situation. We were taught what words like spoon, fork, plate, glass, and the oven mean and we were trying to use them by indicating the real objects which surround us. This rendered the education more real and entertaining.

I personally liked the natural feeling of the learning during this meeting. The language was made alive by talking of food, cooking and travelling, which we all love. It was also clear to me that my vocabulary has expanded considerably since the first meeting and that I am confident in conversing in other languages now.
