Today we went to Hervanta together and walked around there, starting from the shoping center and then we explored the forest nearby. It was such a nice light and blue sky.
I don’t remember how, but Lenka and I started to talk about the minimum wage in Czech Repulic and Germany and that there is actually a great difference between our countries. The minimum wage in Czech Republic is much lower in comparison to the minimum wage in Germany. But then we also said that the living costs in Czech republic are mostly lower than in Germany. It was very interesting for the both of us to learn about these differences and that we did not know them before in detail even though we are neighbor countries.
We also wanted to name the type of trees that we saw and realized that we actually don’t know that many names of tree types so we also started to look up that vocabulary. We found out about these types of trees and also looked them up in our mother tongue: birch trees, scots pine and norway spruce. Both of us said that it is much nicer to learn vocabulary by using it right away and it is much easier to remember when you connect it directly with what you can see.
