Ensimmäisenä aiheena ITC:n investointiesitykset Tampereen yliopiston investointiohjelmaan vuodelle 2025
Staff scientistit esittelevät ehdotukset ITC:n investoinneiksi vuosisuunnittelun 2025 investointiohjelmaan.
Johtoryhmän ja scientistien keskustelun päämääränä on antaa scientisteille eväät ehdotusten viimeistelyyn. Keskustelu toimii samalla lähetekeskusteluna ehdotusten priorisoinnille, jonka jory tekee syyskuussa.
- ITC:n prosessi ja aikataulu investointien valmisteluun
- 14.6. mennessä: alustavat investointiehdotukset
- kesä–elokuussa: Staff/Senior Scientistit työstivät ehdotuksia yhdessä esittäjien kanssa
- elokuussa: ITC:n johtoryhmä ja tutkimuksen kehittämisryhmä kuulivat Scientisteja investointiehdotusten kokonaisuudesta
- 1.9. mennessä: Scientistit lähettävät valmiit ehdotukset ITC:n johtoryhmälle
- 22.9. mennessä: johtoryhmä priorisoi oman investointiesityksensä ja lähettää sen yliopiston vuosisuunnitteluprosessiin
- 12.10.: yliopiston johto tekee päätöksen investoinneista
- (lokakuun loppuun mennessä: mahdollisesti rehtoraatin priorisointitilaisuus)
Tiedekunnasta tulevien ehdotusten priorisointikriteerit (ohjeesta tiedekunnalle):
- Ehdotukset liittyvät jo olemassa oleviin infrakokonaisuuksiin
- Infroilla on mahdollisimman paljon käyttöä
- yhteiskäyttöisyys
- tukee sekä opetusta että tutkimusta (sekä yhteiskunnallista vaikuttavuutta)
- Välitön ja jatkuva tarve; future proof

ITC kuukausipalkkaisille maksetut palkkiot vuonna 2023 ja tammi-heinäkuu 2024
Tarkastelemme eri yksiköissä maksettuja palkkioita kuukausipalkkaisille työntekijöille ja keskustelemme, mikä on tiedekunnan ja yksiköiden linjaus palkkoiden maksamisesta.
Työpaikkaselvityksen toteutus syksyllä 2024

Tohtoripilotin rekrytoinnit ovat edenneet suunnitelmien mukaan. Tiina Toikka kertoi ohjaajien saaneen lisätietoa pilotin rahoituksen käytöstä ja ohjauksen kohdentamisesta
Keskustelun aloitus tiedekunnan strategisista palvelutarpeista
Vuorinen avasi keskustelun tiedekunnan strategisista palvelutarpeista, ja tavoitteena on luoda selkeä näkymä siitä, millaisia tukipalveluita ITC tarvitsee tulevaisuudessa.

First Topic: ITC Investment Proposals for Tampere University’s 2025 Investment Program
The staff scientists presented proposals for ITC’s investments in the 2025 investment program as part of the annual planning process.
The goal of the discussion between the leadership team and the scientists was to provide the scientists with the necessary guidance to finalize the proposals. This discussion also served as a preparatory session for prioritizing the proposals, which the leadership team will do in September.
ITC’s Process and Timeline for Preparing Investment Proposals
- By June 14: Preliminary investment proposals were submitted.
- June–August: Staff and senior scientists worked on the proposals with the submitters.
- August: The ITC leadership team and the research development group reviewed the overall investment proposals with the scientists.
- By September 1: Scientists submit finalized proposals to the ITC leadership team.
- By September 22: The leadership team will prioritize their investment proposals and send them to the university’s annual planning process.
- October 12: The university leadership will make the final decisions on investments.
- (By the end of October: potential prioritization meeting with the rectorate.)
Prioritization Criteria for Proposals (Guidance for the Faculty)
- Proposals should be linked to existing infrastructure.
- Infrastructure should be highly utilized.
- Shared use of the infrastructure is encouraged.
- Proposals should support both teaching and research (including societal impact).
- There is an immediate and continuous need for the investment; it should also be future-proof.

Salaries and Bonuses for ITC Monthly-Salaried Employees in 2023 and January–July 2024
We are reviewing the bonuses paid to monthly-salaried employees in various units and discussing the faculty’s and units’ policy on the payment of bonuses.
Workplace Survey Implementation in Fall 2024
The workplace survey is part of the statutory occupational safety activities. Employers are responsible for the safety and health of their employees at work. The workplace survey will be conducted in cooperation with employees and occupational health services. More information about the workplace survey can be found on the intranet.
Doctoral Pilot Program
Recruitment for the doctoral pilot program has proceeded according to plan. Tiina Toikka reported that the supervisors have received additional information on the use of pilot funding and the allocation of supervision.
Discussion on the Faculty’s Strategic Service Needs
Vuorinen opened the discussion on the faculty’s strategic service needs, with the goal of creating a clear view of the type of support services ITC will require in the future.
