Welcome to the book launch event of Leading Change in a Complex World: Transdisciplinary Perspectives on 13 February at 15 o’clock, Tampere University, PinniA1081 (Kanslerinrinne 1).
Leading Change in a Complex World: Transdisciplinary Perspectives (Tampere University Press) is a new transdisciplinary book offering tools for leaders, analysts and students of leadership to navigate in complex and interconnected settings. The book proposes an analytical framework based on the notions of complexity, relational leadership, and dynamic change.
Individual chapters examine these ideas in relation to topical societal, organisational and business challenges such as the changing global security environment, urbanisation, demographic changes, and business-government relations.
The leadership roles of heads of states and societal stakeholders are analysed and versatile leadership and management practices from conflict management to evaluation are introduced. The possibilities for change are examined through global megatrends, shifting global power blocs, changes in consumer practices, as well as those emanating from abstract concepts such as the circular economy.
The book will be openly available on the Tampere University institutional repository TamPub http://urn.fi/URN:ISBN:978-952-03-0845-2. It will also be available on the OAPEN Library portal and on the Directory of Open Access Books (DOAB).
In the book launch event, we will hear about the book’s analytical framework as well as the ways in which it has been applied in the individual chapters. The speakers include Anna Heikkinen, Tapio Juntunen, Johanna Kujala, Harri Laihonen, Erkki-Jussi Nylén, Elina Närvänen, Antti Lönnqvist and Arja Ropo. After the seminar, at 17 o’clock, we will gather in the High Five Space of the PinniA building (5th floor) to raise a toast together.
All welcome!
