Dealing with Change in Complex Societies
In today’s rapidly evolving landscape, new leadership skills are in demand at local, national, international, and global levels. Societies face complex sustainability challenges, including environmental and social issues, urban development, the delivery of cost-effective public services, and the establishment of environments conducive to entrepreneurship and business development. Addressing these systemic challenges requires collaboration among various institutions, businesses, and civic society actors who must work together, negotiate and agree on the new ways of doing things.
The Master’s Degree Programme in Leadership for Change (LFC) prepares students to address complex societal challenges. It equips them with the knowledge and expertise needed to understand and explain intricate phenomena, become visionary leaders, and drive meaningful change. Within the LFC programme, leadership is understood as a capability to deal with change. Significant societal transformations demand collaborative efforts of government, private companies, and other institutions. We integrate business and management perspectives from the private sector with insights into institutional dynamics, political processes, and networks of governance from the administrative sciences.
