Background
Higher education in developed countries is very expensive, so students have to work to cover the costs. On the other hand, universities in developing countries can offer higher education to a limited portion of the total student population. Therefore, online education is now not just an option, but a necessity for all over the world. That is why famous universities of the world have changed their plans and they are now offering various types of online degrees. By 2026, the market value of this sector is estimated to be USD 375 billion worldwide. People associated with this sector are saying that the education system will not be completely online, nor will it be traditional after Corona pandemic, but it may be largely physital (physical + digital) or
hybrid.
Objectives
- To examine ecological, social and financial impacts of hybrid teaching
- To assess stakeholders’ (students, teachers, institutions) narrative toward hybrid teaching
- To discover learning methods of hybrid teaching
Scope
My prime objective is to figure out what are students, teachers and institutions’ perspectives toward hybrid teaching. In addition to this, I will be searching to know what are their expectations, preparations with regard to hybrid teaching. My study will consist of both qualitative and quantitative data. When it comes to research area and research population, it is Tampere University and its students.
Timeframe
It is expected to come up with second report on 14th of November, 2023 and final project plan on 5th of December, 2023.

As it is said earlier that my projects’ stakeholders are Tampere University’s students and teachers.
