The morning of the day Néd’s family would return to France, we went for breakfast at the hotel. The little sister told me in french that my level of french is good, and of course being the true finn that I am, I had to immediately deny it. We had more conversations with the sister and she asked me, among other things, what my favorite animal is and what breed of dogs I like the most.
We had a while to rest at the hotel before checking out and escorting the family to the airport. We bid our farewells and I learned the phrase “I’ll miss you” = “Tu va me manquer”.
