This is our first meeting and we chose to dishes and table manners as our topic. We did great job in this meeting. It gave us lots of fun by getting to know the difference in dishes and table manners. I found there are so many different size of bottle to drink beer in Germany. And when people toast each other in Germany, people need to watch their eyes to show their respect. And in Germany when family have meal together, they don’t need to sit in special order, they could sit wherever they like.
Besides, there are too much knids of bread in Germany, and people eat different kinds of bread in different situations. And Niklas taught us how do his family cook a dish with bread. It looks so nice!
What the most interesting part of this meeting is that we taught others how to make a traditional dish by video. I taught them how to cook Luoshi rice noodle and Niklas taught us how to cook a dish with bread. And after this meeting, I tried this dish at home, it tasted so nice!
By knowing these, I realised that culture could shape so many aspect in life. And I’m looking forward our next meeting!
