Counting on Coffee

Hi everyone! My name is Jocelyn and I’m a 19-year-old Dutch girl, who loves drinking coffee on rainy days. At my home university I’m studying Communications and here in Tampere I’m doing my minor in International business.

Although it wasn’t raining, for our first meeting, Elisa and I decided to drink some coffee and tea at a new café called Puisto. The coffee was really good and all the sweets and cakes looked so good. Enjoying my Latte Macchiato and merengue I was ready to learn some Finnish words! We started with counting. I also take the Basics of Finnish course, so I thought I already knew the numbers in Finnish. But apparently most Finnish people use shorter versions of the words and I thought this was interesting. I taught Elisa the numbers in Dutch. I have to say; her pronunciation is really good! These are the numbers we talked about:
