First meeting

Hi everyone! I joined this course a little bit later but I’ve catched up aleardy and I’m starting to write my blog from the notes I have.

So I’m Nedas, just like Ned, but a Lithuanian version since I’m from there ;D Immediately when I came, at first days of orientation week I met a couple of Mexicans and we became friends. I was very interested in learning Spanish, because it is a very popular language, and in Tampere there are lots of Spanish speaking people, especially when I’m talking about exchange students.

Since I knew Mexican people, you might know that they had an independence day celebration, if you read this blog. This is where I met two German girls, and they were in a group with Diego, a Mexican guy. They were teaching each other. I told somehow about my problem, that few courses were canceled, and others were changed so the credits were changed also – that’s why I needed one credit to have 30 in total. German girls and Diego were very friendly and suggested me to join their group and learn a language! That was a double trouble solving answer. Now I can learn Spanish, learn more about the culture and also get extra credits that I needed in a very different way, in a way that I wouldn’t even thought about at first place.

Even without having an organised meeting and before joining EOTO, I had a quick start by trying simple spanish words and eating spanish meals, also singing and little bit of help to prepare food.  The next meeting was more writing and catching up, about what I’ll write in the next post. See you! 🙂
