German Food Night

After a very long autumn break we met again at Jacquelines house. After the Mexican evening were Jacqueline and I got to know a typical Mexican food and some Mexican music we thought we should show Nedas and Diego some German food. We met at Jacqueline’s flat were we had prepared some German dishes for Nedas and Diego. We offered them a typical German drink which is called “Apfelsaftschorle” it is basically Apple juice with mineral water.

The first dish we prepared was “Kartoffelsuppe” which means “Potato-soup”. The soup is made out of potatoes, carots, onions, bay leaves, nutmeg and vegetable broth.

After this we made “”Maultaschen mit Kartoffelsalat”. The potato salad is made of potatoes, onions, vinegar and oil. The “Maultaschen” are a pasta dish with a meaty filling.

Furthermore we were pretty full but we still had a main dish left we wanted to show them.
Finally we prepared “Kässpätzle”. This is some how the German Mac and Cheese. We mix a german pasta with a cheese and some onions.

At the end we just played some card games and ate some german chocolate which Jacqueline’s parents brought from Germany.
