German foods - “Flammkuchen” and “Apfelstreusel”

This our meeting was cooking German foods. It is “Flammkuchen” and “Apfelstreusel”.

“Flammkuchenis a dish composed of bread dough rolled out very thin in the shape of a rectangle (traditionally) or circle, which is covered with fromage blanc or crème fraîche, thinly sliced onions and lardons. It means “Flame cake” which translates as “Pie baked in the flames.”

Apfelstreusel is cake or pie with apple.

Here is short recipe.

First, Apfelstreusel is….

Die Zutaten

350 g Mehl = flour

150 g Grießzucker = sugar

180 g Butter

1 Ei = egg

6 Äpfel = apples

Zimt = cinnamon

Die Zubereitung

– Peel the apples and cut into 6 thin slices – This then vanilla sugar, a little cinnamon and about 30 g – Insert the caster sugar – Meanwhile, mix by hand the remaining ingredients in a bowl. Between the hands so long rub until you get a Streuselteig. – Half of the dough in a buttered give Tourtière (pottery-form) and a small edge shape. – Then give the apples with the drawn juice and the rest of the sprinkles cover. – Bake 50 minutes at 160 ° C.

Second, Flammkuchen is very simple.

Spread the flour dough and then add chopped onions and meat. Go to oven!

Flammkuchen is like almost thin pizza. Every food is sooooo good.

Danke Katri!!!

And I met Johanna who lives together with Katri. We have a chat long time. She is so kind and really good at speaking English.

After eating, we watched ‘One-piece’ animation with dubbing German. It is impossible to understand every meaning. But I tried to listen a short sentence.
