Korean food : Ttekbokki

In our 4th meeting, we tried to make Tteokbokki (떡복이) but we couldn’t do because there was no rice cake in asian market. So, this time, we met to challenge it again!

In Korea, we usually make Tteokbokki with rice cake, onion, korean spicy sauce, rameun, and boiled fish paste (오뎅) as a basic ingredient. Unfortunately, in here, we couldn’t find 오뎅.  It was so sad since 오뎅 makes very good sauce of Tteokbokki! But yooree said, she had been heard that it is very nice if we put bacon into Tteokbokki, so we tried that~

It was really nice! We could feel bacon’s taste so it looked like another Korean food ‘부대찌개‘. We enjoyed our lunch with some fruits also.

And today, Alessandra wanted to learn Korean slangs (bad words) to distinct them in Korea! Of course, it is not good to use them, but Korea have very much slangs and also use them very much. While learning them, it was very funny to practice them pretending it is a real situation~
