Second meeting

For our second meeting, we met in the cafeteria during lunch and briefly reviewed some of the vocabulary from our first meeting. We then started talking about our home countries and cities. I found it especially interesting to hear how differently we experience our hometowns and what people associate with particular cities. We also shared some local traditions, food and drinks. I was surprised by how many similarities we found, while there were still many cultural differences. It was interesting to hear about Czech traditions directly from someone that lives there. Towards the end, we also discussed some more serious topics, such as population decline, the political situation and how our countries have changed over time. I really enjoyed this meeting because the conversation was very natural.
