Fourth meeting (07.11)
The fourth meeting took place at Laura’s house, where we used the opportunity to have a “German evening”.
Laura and Chiara (Germans) prepared for Marlen and me (Spanish) typical dishes from their country. The “Brotzeit” consisted of a slice of bread with a sauce. In Germany it is typical to have this kind of snack with a beer during the Oktoberfest, for example. Also, on the table were “brezen” (crackers in the shape of a bow), “pickles” (plicked cucumbers), “obatzer” (cheese spread, made in Bavaria), soft cheeses like Brie with butter and onion (“chives” in german)….
While eating we came to the conclusion that Lidl is the supermarket we have the most available here in Tampere for international products. Because sometimes you also have nice theme weeks and it is interesting to be able to buy products from other countries
It has definitely been a very enjoyable evening, and a lot of laughs. In addition, I enjoyed the flavours of German gastronomy. I have to say that I’m looking forward to visiting Germany more and more, because I think I’m going to love it!
