Greetings from Graz!

Grüner See

I was very lucky to be able to spend 10 months studying in Austria. The year was full of new friends, ideas and beautiful nature! I hope I can return to live abroad someday.

I studied classical piano at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz. My professor was really nice and I learned a lot from him. I also got to do a lot of chamber music, lied and fortepiano as a minor subject. There were a lot of opportunities in my school and other students were also very motivated. The classes were more demanding and the level was much higher than in Tampere. Some of the classes were only in German, so my language skills also improved a lot.

Graz
Graz is a cozy but lively student city.

In my free time I mainly enjoyed the beautiful nature of Austria. Almost every weekend I went hiking in the mountains with my friends. Graz has good train connections to small local villages as well as to neighboring countries. I visited Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovenia and Italy during my exchange.

I did my very first sunrise hike! It was very beautiful.
