Soon my second month is over here in Poland, Gdansk. There is a lot of similarities of Finland here in Poland. The weather is almost the same and the people are very friendly. Polish people can seem like they don’t want to talk to you, but when you actually talk to them they are very friendly.
My studies are going well, the classes are in a nice modern campus so the classrooms and the university building is very nice. The teachers mainly give you a task for the course and there isn’t much done in the actual lectures, so you need to do it yourself in your own time.
I am the only Finn here in Gdansk so there is no Finnish to be spoken here.
It’s christmas soon and I can’t wait to see what Gdansk has to offer. I have visited the city central multiple times and now they are building christmas market in there, which should be one of the biggest one in Europe. I am very excited to visit that.
