I had some difficulties to find suitable courses for my studies from my receiving university so I ended up studying something pretty different from business administration – and that is economics. Luckily there was amazing professors and great fellow students which made learning the subject easier. I noticed a huge difference in scheduling the courses, compared to Finland.
Basically, that meant for me with those courses, that I had lectures 3 days per week (and 4 days per week a day off!). That left room for spare time quite nicely and you didn’t hear me complain about it.

Mostly I spent my spare time going to gym or sitting in cafes or bars with friends. In bars we often played some card games or just talked about everything. The nature in Sardinia was amazing for sure but even on the Mediterranean islands the temperature drops in the winter – so hiking in nature in December wasn’t an option. We explored the nature as much as possible in the beginning of the exchange period and in the very end when it started to warm up again. In addition to that, during winter, we did a few trips to smaller villages and the Northern part of the island with cars or organized busses.
As I mentioned before, the course scheduling differs from Finland. Besides that, exams are different there. Traditional paper and pencil exams are still in use in our Uni, paired with oral exams. It felt almost like a time machine but in a fun way of course! We also had a lot of emphasis on the exam result, almost the whole course grade came from the exam.
