I’m here on a study exchange at Zurich University of Applied Sciences, and it’s been an amazing experience getting to know Swiss culture, both in school and in everyday life. Here’s a little about what I’ve been up to.
Studying at Zurich University of Applied Sciences has been really challenging but rewarding. The classes cover a lot of topics, and the exams are quite tough. The curriculum is very practical and focused on real-world applications. I’ve learned a lot about Swiss banking and financial systems through lectures and interactions with professors. These experiences have really helped me understand my field better and prepared me for my future career.
When I’m not studying, I’m out exploring! Switzerland is so beautiful. I spend my weekends playing sports and watching football or hockey games. Swiss people are really passionate about football, much more so than in Finland, so it’s been a great way to socialize and meet new people. I also enjoy hanging out with other exchange students and making new friends. It’s been a great way to learn more about Swiss culture and make the most of my time here.
Studying in Switzerland is quite different from Finland. Here, everything is very punctual and precise. Classes start and end exactly on time, and the coursework is more challenging. It requires a lot of self-discipline and good time management. In Finland, the education system is more flexible and focuses a lot on student well-being. Both have their good points, but studying in Switzerland has definitely helped me become more organized and focused.
