Greetings from Greece, Crete!

City of Piran
City of Piran

I did my two months exchange in Greece, Crete and i lived in the capital of Crete, Heraklion. It was such a beautiful country, which included crystal-clear water, rugged mountains and picturesque villages. It also has diverse landscape like sandy beaches and vineyards so i was more than excited to explore the nature and different cities.

I saw there a lot of new places for example Hersonissos, Agios Nikolaos, Rethymno, Hania and Bali. One of my favourite place was Rethymno with nice restaurants and beautiful beaches but i also fell in love with the smaller village called Bali. It was located in the mountains and the atmosphere were very relaxed in there. There I could swim in the sea, sunbathe and go to cute traditional restaurants.

My practical training was in a University General hospital and it was learning-full experience to me. There I saw very different working environment, tools and ways to work compared to Finland. And what comes to hygiene, it wasn’t so accurate. Nurses didn’t always use for example gloves when they were taking blood from the patients. However i think the patients were having a good care in their own way.
