Greetings From Malaysia

Dear reader,

My exchange here in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, is coming to an end. The weather has been pleasant, and the studies have been somewhat challenging. I have learned a lot about Malaysia, cultural differences, and myself while being far away from home.

I have been studying here at Taylor’s University, which is very international. The majority of students come here to study from different countries, and only some are Malaysian. For me, the biggest difference has been how group projects are done, and how lectures and assignments seem to have more disconnection than at TAMK. Otherwise, studying here and at TAMK has more similarities than differences.

In my free time I have done a few weekend trips and enjoyed Malaysia and its food, weather, and attractions.

In Malaysia, religion plays a big part in everyday life. There are beautiful temples and mosques here that are worth seeing.

I did a weekend trip to Penang, specifically George Town, which is known for its street art and good food.

In Malaysia there is multiple beautiful beach destination and islands. I had chance to visit Lankawi and enjoy this amazing sunset.
