Doing my internship in Dhaka, Bangladesh has given me a different perspective on working in my home country after studying in Finland. At my workplace, I am gaining practical experience by contributing to creative projects and working closely with the team. This internship allows me to apply what I learned during my studies while also understanding how creative work operates in a local context.

In my spare time, the highlight has been spending time with my family. After being away for almost two and a half years, it has been very meaningful to reconnect with them and share everyday moments together. Beyond that, I am enjoying exploring Dhaka and reconnect with the city.
The work culture in Bangladesh differs noticeably from what I experienced on my internships in Finland. In Finland, work and study environments tend to be more structured, punctual and independent. In Bangladesh, communication is often more informal and collaborative, but sometimes less structured. Working in both contexts has helped me understand the benefits and limitations of each culture.
