Life in the countryside and Finnish values

Finnishness is more than just nationality. It’s a way of life. For me, it’s about the peace of nature, the warmth of the sauna, hard work, and the enjoy of being with family and friends. In this post, I’ll share what Finnishness means to me and how it shows in my everyday life.

I grew up on a farm, and nature has always been a big part of who I am. The forests, lakes, and fields gave me peace and freedom. In Finland, nature is for everyone, and I truly value that connection.

I have worked my whole life, and I believe hard work and honesty are core Finnish values. Helping others is also something I truly enjoy. It gives life meaning.

Sauna is one of the most important Finnish traditions. For me, it’s a place to relax, refresh, and share quiet moments with family and friends. Nothing beats the feeling of sauna after a long day.

Sports play a big role in my life. They keep me active and happy. I love that in Finland, nature is the perfect place for sports, whether it’s skiing, jogging, or swimming in the lake.

Family and friends are very important to me. I’m a happy person, and I believe a positive attitude and hard work take you far. Finnishness to me means appreciating these simple but valuable things.
