First thing that came to my mind when thinking about Finnishness and Finnish culture: Coffee !! Coffee is huge part of Finnish culture and Finnish themselves and we see that because we lead in coffee consumption per person and we even have 10-15 minutes coffee breaks legally mandated that belong in working hours. Coffee doesn’t look at time or place, but morning coffee is the most important part of the day in my opinion.
Another important aspect of Finnish culture is nature and how much we respect it. This shows in how we keep the places clean, inside and out. (Massive side eye for those who don’t follow the rules.) Part of this keeping the places clean thing and nature in Finnishness is Everyman’s Right.
Nature in Finland is beautiful no matter what the season is, nature changes and we enjoy and try to take most of it no matter what. If you don’t like the people, take a cup of coffee and go to the nearest lake and look around you.
