Finnishness is something that is only in Finland. When you respect others’ privacy they will respect yours.
Finns are considered usually as rude, quiet and few worded people. It can look like that to other people, but here we give others space and not push ourselves to others faces. When you talk to Finns they will most of the time talk back happily, you just need to know us. Finns are honest with eachother and that is a big reason why we don’t use that many words, we don’t go around the bushes.
Finland is a country of thousand lakes and with those lakes they usually have cottages. That describes Finnishness best for me: you have a cozy cottage close to a nice lake in a peaceful forest.
Finns are very humble and quiet people but also very proud of themselves. We are proud of our culture, nature and country even if it doesn’t seem like it because we don’t talk much.
You can see all this but you need to bravely to approach a Finn. It may seem like a scary idea but deeply every Finn are happy to talk to other people. (At least most of the time)
