Finland, the place on the edge of the world which is habited by the mythical creatures called the Finns. This place is so far away from everything that not all people even believe it exists. And who could blame them? It is rumored that this place is the happiest place on the planet, that the sun will never set during summer but during the winter it will never rise, and that the education is free for all. Santa can be found hiding in the somewhere near Korvatunturi and if one is lucky they can see northern lights dancing in the sky. But as unreal it seems the rumors are indeed true. Tucked away in the far north of the world anyone can come and experience the wonder that is slipping on the ice and breaking your tailbone when you were just trying to go to work or not being able to sleep because it is still light outside even though it’s 3am.
The Finns are a curios creatures and you will be very lucky if you happen to spot one as they like to withdraw from the society and go live in the woods. The Finns are also very quiet creatures and only speak when they have something important to say. Weirdly though The Finns start to talk a lot more when they are naked in a small hot room sweating together. As fun as the Finns consider Sauna they also do indulge to many different hobbies. Some like to play ice hockey, others like to knit and some like to chase moose around the woods. But all Finns love to que to places, especially if free buckets are given away.
So if you ever get a chance, do come visit the this far away place. You can experience skiing or take part in the ‘carry the matron’-contest. Come and experience the enlightenment that is the Dish drying cabinet.
